European declaration of conformity for construction products under CPR 305/2011. Mandatory for sale within the EU — we carry it in full.
Highest class under EN 350-1 — suitable for permanent outdoor exposure without ground contact. Bamboo resistant to rot, fungi and insects.
Tested and certified under Eurocode 5 for structural timber construction. Required for load-bearing calculations by structural engineers.
EN 13501-1 fire classification. B-s1,d0 = limited contribution to fire, low smoke development, no flaming droplets. Suitable for public buildings.
Production process certified under ISO 14001. Continuous monitoring and improvement of the environmental impact of our factories.
Bamboo grows up to a metre a day and stores a substantial amount of CO₂ in the culm during growth. For our Nano decking boards the cradle-to-gate balance is −4.2 kg CO₂-eq per m²: the growth phase removes more carbon from the atmosphere than production and transport add to it.
One hectare of bamboo plantation stores up to 60 tonnes of CO₂ per year — many times that of a comparable area of tropical broadleaf forest.

LCA calculations follow EN 15804+A2, with cradle-to-gate (A1–A3) as the base scope and cradle-to-grave (A1–C4) for the extended report. Comparison figures for alternative materials come from publicly available EPDs (National Environmental Database NL, EPD International EU) and are harmonised to the functional unit 1 m² · 25-year service life.
Carbon-storage figures refer to bio-based carbon stored in the bamboo product over its service life. Carbon re-released through incineration at end-of-life is accounted for under module C.
